Venator

I walked among them; to them I'm a monster, just a savage brute with a compulsion to kill their kind. But I'm not like the rest of my people. I walk among my intended victims,  they're fully aware of what I am when I'm capable of and that I'm trying not to be that thing. It's not all bad understanding the other side seeing them as people not as a plague to be eradicated.

What am I? What are they? They are called monsters, but is it wrong to call my kind monster? We fight them with the intent to destroy to eradicate. We need to hunt it's a problem we have ignoring it is not an option. I hunt distant quarry dangerous animals of the region a dangerous bull mouse or wild hog child's play compared to hunting one of them. But I don't hunt them I try not to need to.

Some people see us as heroes; I'm not one of them we slaughter as many innocents as the monsters we supposedly fight.  Other monsters claimed to walk among the humans that we're the only ones that truly do. I don't just look like them……

….. I am one of them. I am a Venator, reluctant monster. Somebody who got violently murdered for trying to protect his family is usually seen as the victim of when that family starts growing fur most people start siding with the murder. That's what we are venator.

We feel a need to eradicate them. Make the world a better place but here's the thing as far as I'm concerned there's monsters they ignore. Staring right back them in the mirror. I'm trying to be something else the one who understands I look around me I don't just see werewolf, vampire, and mummy.  I see a mother, a business woman, and a fashion designer.

So tell me who is the real monster?
